As soon as I finished work on the People Taking Pictures video I had to start work on my third video of the year for the Australian band Great Gable. Unlike many of my other claymation videos which I throw everything at it including the kitchen sink, I really wanted to strip this back and do something *simple!
And here is how I made it…

As soon as I wrapped on the video for Sevendust, I jumped right into my next video for People Taking Pictures. I had only two weeks to get this video done before I had to start work on another video. I had an absolute blast working on this and got to experiment with some techniques I had been itching to try out!

On top of the new video, I have also launched a new youtube channel EYE MADE THIS where I will be making claymation characters, toys and going the behind the scenes of my short films and music videos. Currently there are four videos where I make plasticine incarnations of The Batman, Kaneda ( from Akira ) Spider-man ( Miles Morales ) and Lara Croft ( Tomb Raider) I’m aiming to upload a new video every Sunday, I have lots of videos already shot and many more planned, so if you like what you see, click subscribe and hit the like buttons!
If that isn’t enough, my podcast Adjust Your Tracking is still going. We have been on a little hiatus, but will be back soon where we will be delving in to the 1930s!. In June I start work on a new claymation music video and I am also in the post production phase on a short fantasy film called The Legend of Chloe which I am aiming to have finished by the end of the year - I will have more details on that soon, but in the mean time enjoy these exclusive pictures.

Hey guys, we are back with our latest video for the Psychedelic Porn Crumpets. It’s an all out claymation fest. It follows Alice (In wonderland ) as she stumbles upon a land made entirely out of candy. It’s bright/full of colour, has cute characters and of course blood. Lots of blood!
This is the most intense music video I have ever worked on, but may also be one of the most rewarding. up until this point I had only made one Video entirely in Claymation video - Youth Man : Look/Wait . That video took around six weeks to produce and was under two minutes in length. This new video was over double the length, had to be completed in four weeks and contained more characters and locations. I knew I couldn’t do it alone so I drafted in my good friend and collaborator Brandon Kahn, tasking him with the editing and compositing.
Originally we only supposed to produce a 40-50 second sequence for the video as the rest would be live action. However the band liked our ideas/treatment so much that they asked us to expand upon it and have the entire video be claymation. As we only had four weeks to produce the video, I spent half of the time making the characters, props and sets, and the other two weeks animating the entire thing, working 16-17 hr long days and enduring a heat wave in the process. This also meant that Brandon had less than two weeks to edit and composite an entire music video, and that is by no means an easy task. Most of the shots had to have backgrounds added or rigs, wires, hands and other rouge objects removed. As well as set extensions, camera moves and colour grading. My hat goes off to him - and I don’t take it off for just anybody!
We delivered the video within the skin of our teeth, and I am super proud with what we managed to achieve in the time we had. Are there things I would change or do differently? Of course, I would have especially loved to have been able to spend more time on the animation .With that said everyone seems to be happy with the video and enjoying is - as odd and gross as it is.

We have launched our first podcast - Adjust Your Tracking. A podcast where we clear our videotape backlog by watching hidden jems and classics we haven’t seen (and probably should have). The aim is to cover a century of film, decade by decade, year by year. We have kicked things off by covering the 90s, so far we have tackled David Lynchs romantic road movie Wild at Heart and John Singletons seminal Boyz n the Hood. New episodes are dropped every Sunday and we hope you join us for our century long cinematic journey.

Here is a new video for the Psychedelic Porn Crumpets thats I was asked to work on. While I didn’t shoot/edit the video - that was Ashley Rommelrath, I was tasked with overlaying animations and visuals. It was a tight turn around but I think it came out well. Please check it out, the song is an absolute banger!

Hello everybody peeps, we’re back again with another video for the mighty Psychedelic Porn Crumpets. If you’re a fan of He-man, LOTR, Mighty Boosh, Monty Python, Legend of Zelda, and Knightmare ( An old British kids TV show ) I think you might dig it!

Hey Guys, thank you for being incredibly patient, but we are happy to announce that SUPERZEROES will be released in July.
We still have a lot more work to go and have some re shoots/pick ups coming up as well. We will also be announcing a cinema screening very soon so watch this space!

Well principle photography has finally wrapped on Superzeroes and while we may need to film the odd pick up or insert shot here and there, we pretty much have everything we need to make three kick ass episodes. It was a pretty tough ride and luckily everyone came out unscathed... well with the exception of a few bumps, bruises, grazes and a sprained hand. I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work, from the the talent cast, dedicated crew and of course our incredibly generous backers.
Over the next few months I will start sending out various indiegogo perks and I will start piecing together the three episodes. Episodes one and three will be relatively straight forward to edit, however episode two (as it contains a good chunk of hand drawn animation!) will be fairly lengthy post production, however I'm confident in saying that it will be worth the wait!
I will update soon with more information on Indiegogo perks and release dates for the three episodes.

Production of Superzeroes is well underway. We have been shooting over weekends since the middle of January and thus far we have 9 days in the can with 5 (ish) days left to go.
So far it is going incredibly well, we have had our ups and our downs, but its safe to say that it's really starting to come together. It's been one hell of a juggling act trying to get everyone together at the same time and sourcing out locations. Thankfully everyone is bring in in their A game and really working hard to make Superzeroes as good as it can be.
Keep checking the blog as I will be posting more about the behind the scenes action, but in the mean time check out our little Superzeroes commercial.

This will probably be our last music video for a little while as we concentrate on other projects leading into 2017 - Namely SUPERZEROES. Over the next few weeks I will have a wealth of information regarding our brummie superheroes, so bear with us for a few weeks more and before you know it you will be sick of us talking about it.
